ATech’s Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann named Finalist for Women in Technology (WiT) Award

Shortlisted for the 2022 Professional Technology Leadership Award

Brisbane, Australia, 5 September, 2022 – ATech’s owner and Managing Director Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann has been announced as a finalist for the 25th annual Women in Technology (WiT) Awards. Ms Peterschlingmann is nominated for the 2022 Professional Technology Leadership Award.

Starting out as a web developer in 2007, Ms Peterschlingmann has grown Brisbane-based ATech to become a leading mission-critical cloud hosting and web development company with multimillion dollar revenues.

ATech’s local and international client list includes airlines, banks, government bodies and organisations in the transport, ICT, real estate, construction and healthcare sectors.

Ms Peterschlingmann said, “I am delighted to be named a finalist for the WiT Awards. The prestigious awards, which celebrate their silver jubilee this year, are one of the biggest and longest-running recognition programs for women in STEM in Australia.

“The Professional Technology Leadership Award recognises the value and contributions of female executive leaders to the success of both their organisation and the wider technology industry. It is a huge honour."

Ms Peterschlingmann was among digital innovators, research champions, scientists, technologists and female entrepreneurs from across Australia that have been shortlisted for the 25th annual Women in Technology (WiT) Awards.

This year’s competition attracted a record 500 nominations across 14 categories and 900 guests are expected to see the winners announced at Brisbane's Royal International Convention Centre on Friday 16 September 2022.

WiT Chair Iyari Cevallos said this year's awards theme, Writing the Future, is a tribute to the contribution women are making to help define, shape and grow the digital economy.

"As we celebrate and reflect on 25 years of WiT it is as important to focus on the future," said Ms Cevallos.

"I believe we have the ability and responsibility to dream big, to visualise achievements for the women still to come, to continue to increase our energy and momentum in leading and motivating current and future generations of women.

"We've created an opportunity to rally around our outstanding talent, unlock their potential, promote each other and ourselves – impacting our community in a way that creates positivity beyond the event itself."
